A guiding principle of Salem Anesthesia is to treat the surgical centers and patients we serve with the utmost respect, unmatched care and professionalism. Our team of Anesthesiologists and CRNAs have met this goal for over 30 years and welcoming Bradley Quarles to our team will help ensure we continue to do so.

Salem Anesthesia President and fellow CRNA, James Nitz shares the following, “Bradley will be a great addition to our team of experienced professionals. His experience, impressive achievements and recognitions will complement our talented group and help us build on our success. We are growing, and meeting the needs of an ever-changing health care field is a priority for us. We are committed to our team and know Bradley will fit right in, hit the ground running and will help us enhance the service and care we offer our centers and patients.”

Bradley received his Bachelors of Science from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina in May 2018 and his Masters of Nurse Anesthesia from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina in May 2023.

In addition to maintaining an impressive GPA, he was involved with and often led many professional and civic engagements. A short list of some of his impressive accomplishments include (visit included links to learn more):

  • Order of the Silver Crescent Recipient from Governor Henry McMaster
  • Graduated with Leadership Distinction in Professional and Civic Engagement
  • Commencement speaker for graduating nursing class in May 2018
  • Dean and President’s list Fall 2014, Spring 2015 and Fall 2016
  • Ralph E. Emerson Exemplary Leadership Award Winner
  • Outstanding Senior Award Winner and Undergraduate Leadership Award Winner in 2018
  • Hero Award Recipient for Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention and Prevention in 2016 and 2017
  • Medal of Excellence Recipient from University of South Carolina President Bob Caslen

Bradley has served as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina. He also served patients and the community while working as a Registered Nurse at Prisma Health Richland.

He is an advocate for people in many areas of health and well-being, most notably mental health and suicide prevention, which resulted in being awarded the Order of the Silver Crescent from South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster. Bradley is a wonderful example of turning personal tragedy into life changing action. His work in suicide prevention has undoubtedly saved lives.

In the summer of 2017, he interned with Mayor Steve Benjamin. This internship provided insight into how local government works and how our involvement in our local, state, and federal governments can help build a stronger understanding and support for mental and physical well-being initiatives.

This statement from Bradley does a great job of summing up who he is as a person.

I believe in hard work, doing the right thing and going the extra mile for the people we serve. I look forward to having the chance to learn from the Salem Anesthesia team and to continue to serve those in need in the best way I possibly can.”

Bradley is a North Carolina resident. He is married, has a beautiful 9-month daughter and a yellow lab.
